Citing MissionTour

Here are the proper ways to cite pictures and/or information on the MissionTour site. There are two general citation schemas: MLA-Style and Turabian-style. Examples of each will be given. Please see the linked references if you need further information about the various styles.

You will need to know the following things for each page you want to cite:

• The page title (this is in large type at the top of the page and in your browser title bar). E.g., the title of this page is "Citing MissionTour". In the examples this will be [TITLE]
• The page URL (again, see your browser information bar for the full URL). E.g., the URL for this page is "http://missiontour.org/cite.htm". In the examples this will be [URL]
• The year the page was authored (this is in the copyright at the bottom of the page). E.g., this page carries a 2004 date. In the examples this will be [PAGEDATE]
• For pictures: the date the picture was taken (you will find this under each picture in small, light type). In the examples this will be [PICTDATE].
• For pictures: the title of the picture (you will find this in the ALT tag; hover your cursor over a picture to see it appear in most browsers). In the examples this will be [PICTTITLE]. My apologies in advance if I've forgotten to include an ALT tag for any images.
• The date you accessed the page. In the examples this will be [ACCESSDATE]
